Account Security
What should be done if unauthorized access to an account is suspected?
If unauthorized access to your Tradu account/s is suspected, the following steps should be taken promptly to secure the account and mitigate any potential risks:
Change Password: Change the password to the account immediately. Ensure the new password is strong and unique (not used for other apps), combining letters, numbers, and special characters.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): If not already activated, enable two-factor authentication for an added layer of security. This typically involves receiving a code on a separate device (like a smartphone) that must be entered along with the password.
Check Account Activity: Review the account's transaction history and active sessions for any unauthorized transactions or access. If any suspicious activity is found, report it to Tradu's support team immediately.
Contact Support: Notify the Tradu support team about the suspected unauthorized access. They can provide specific advice, help secure the account, and monitor for suspicious activity.
Secure Other Accounts: If the same password or similar security details were used on other accounts (email, banking, etc.), change those as well to prevent further unauthorized access.
Monitor for Phishing Attempts: Be vigilant for phishing attempts, which may increase after an account is compromised. This includes suspicious emails or messages asking for personal information or directing to fake websites.
